Over 400,000 property transactions were processed in Spain last year, resulting in a total sales increase of over 8%.
Figures recently published by Spain’s General Council of Notaries has reported that the number of property sales have risen by 8.6% since 2014, with a grand total of 401,236 property transactions within the last 12 months. The average house price for properties in Spain also rose by approximately €1,277 per square metre – an increase of almost 2% year-on-year.
Figures for mortgage approvals across Spain also remained promising throughout 2015, as the number of new home purchase loans rose by 11.6% in 12 months, with an average loan value of €154,906. The total average loan value increased overall by 12.2% when compared to 2014, representing a significant spike in the market.
